Senior Sous Chef

Sunhands is an all day cafe, wine bar.
We are looking for a motivated individual to join our small team as senior sous chef. 

As a multifaceted venue, we have a simple yet diverse menu that constantly adapts to the seasonal desires of our surrounding community. 

We focus on working with local purveyors, selecting ingredients with a particular standard of flavour and quality.

We are looking for someone that is experienced, hands on and passionate about great food and service.
Someone eager to make an active contribution to our business and team, a calm leader setting strandards for every service. Our kitchen requires open mindedness, methodical thinking, professionalism and respect.

Working closly with our executive chef and owner to run the day to day of the kitchen. Bringing a genuine understanding for produce-led, intuitive, thoughtful cooking accompanied with strong oporational skills.  

The Role:

• Fortnightly Rosters
• Daily ordering
• Team management
• Weekly training
• Running service
• Stock management
• Weekly food safety management
• Cleaning systems
• Upkeep of standards
• Day to day troubleshooting
• Minor menu development
