Chef

We are a busy waterfront restaurant renowned for delivering high-quality food and exceptional customer service. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate chef looking to grow their career in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present high-quality meals in accordance with menu specifications.
• Assist in developing and planning seasonal menus and daily specials.
• Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation and consistency.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and WHS regulations.
• Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and inventory control.
• Supervise and train kitchen staff where required.
• Work collaboratively with the kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure efficient service.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe kitchen environment.

Essential Requirements

• AQF Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or higher qualification (or overseas equivalent); or
• At least three years of relevant full-time work experience where no formal qualification is held.
• A minimum of one (1) year of relevant post-qualification work experience as a Chef in a commercial kitchen.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen operations and food safety standards.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy kitchen environment.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Availability to work weekends, evenings and public holidays as required.
