All rounder Barista

Position Details

• Employment Type: Casual
• Locations: Heidelberg Heights & Coburg North (both locations are mandatory)
• Shifts: Monday to Sunday
• Availability on the weekend is essential
• Expected Availability: 3–4 shifts per week
• Operating Hours: 6:00 am – 4:30 pm
• Start Time: Availability to commence shifts at 6:00 am is essential.

Essential Requirements

• Minimum 2 years' barista experience
• Excellent spoken and written English is essential
• Outstanding customer service skills
• Excellent personal hygiene and presentation
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Full availability to work across both locations

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and espresso beverages to our standards.
• Operate coffee machines and grinders.
• Deliver friendly customer service, take orders, and process payments.
• Serve pies, pastries, and other food items while maintaining food safety standards.
• Heat, plate, and present products according to shop procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness of the coffee station, service area, and dining area throughout the shift.
• Restock display fridges, pie warmers, takeaway packaging, and other supplies.
• Assist with opening and closing procedures, including cleaning tasks.
• Monitor stock levels of coffee beans, milk, and food items, reporting shortages when required.
• Support the team during busy service periods to ensure efficient service.
• Follow all health, safety, and hygiene standards.
• Assist with training new team members when required.

Pay
The position will be paid in accordance with the Restaurant Industry Award (MA000119).
