We're opening Lennox Street Local, a new neighbourhood cafe in Richmond from the team behind Butter Days Bakery.
We're looking for a warm, confident and experienced FOH person to join us from the start. Someone who takes pride in excellent coffee, great customer service and creating a welcoming neighbourhood cafe.

We’re getting ready to open Lennox Street Local, a new neighbourhood café in Richmond from the team behind Butter Days Bakery.
We’re looking for a great FOH person to join us from the beginning and become an important part of the venue.
Lennox will be a small, busy neighbourhood spot serving Allpress coffee, Butter Days pastries, toasties, jaffles and a simple food offering. We want it to feel relaxed, friendly and local — good food and coffee with genuinely good hospitality.
THE ROLEWe’re looking for someone confident across FOH who is comfortable working in a small team and keen to take some real ownership of the venue.
You’ll be primarily based at Lennox Street Local and, for the right person, we’d love this to become a role with plenty of autonomy. We’ll be around to support and guide things, but ultimately we want someone we trust to take charge of the day-to-day, run a great service and help make Lennox their own.
Restaurant experience is preferred. We’re particularly interested in someone who understands good service, enjoys looking after people and can bring that hospitality into a relaxed neighbourhood café.
Coffee experience is definitely a plus, but we’re more interested in finding the right hospitality person than the perfect barista.
We’re looking for someone who:
Has solid hospitality experience, preferably with a restaurant background
Is warm, relaxed and genuinely good with customers
Is confident running a busy service
Can open, close and take responsibility for a shift
Is organised, reliable and takes initiative
Is comfortable leading a small team
Cares about good food, coffee and hospitality
Wants some autonomy and the chance to have a real impact on a new venue
There’s also a genuine opportunity for this role to grow.
Lennox is the sister venue to Butter Days Bakery in Malvern, and while this role will be focused on Lennox, we’d love to find someone who could eventually step up into a broader role working across both venues.
For someone ambitious, there’s an opportunity to take ownership of Lennox first and, as things develop, progress into more responsibility across the two businesses.
We’re a small independent team, so there’s plenty of room for the right person to have a voice, bring ideas and grow with us.
