How Creatives Really Make a Living

Find your perfect creative career with help from General Assembly.

Orange by Billie Justice Thomson

General Assembly are a global education company that host educational events and teach classes around the world. Tonight’s panel event in Melbourne will teach you how to make a living as a creative.

It’s tough being a creative person. You'll often have to juggle multiple jobs, while trying to keep up the motivation to be productive and successful in your craft.

A speaking panel of five will teach you how to forge your perfect creative career, and turn doing what you love into something you can make a living from. They’ll talk support networks to get you started, and the good and the bad of working freelance.

Deputy editor of ArtsHub, Madeleine Dore, painter Billie Justice Thomson and photographer Tom Blachford will all speak on the panel. Stick around after the panel and there will be free beer and wine to go around.
