Learn how to sell your brand or ideas by watching eleven businesses pitch to investors.
If you’re interested in pitching your startup but not sure how to begin, you could learn some tips and tricks at Melbourne Accelerator Program’s (MAP) next event. Hear from new businesses and discover how they successfully pitched their ideas to investors to receive financial backing.
Run by the University of Melbourne, MAP is an accelerator program for Australia’s aspiring startups focused on making a positive impact on the world. Eleven startups have been selected for funding, and they’ll be sharing their successful pitches with attendees.
The selected businesses will showcase their pitches to their entrepreneurial community on May 4 at the Plaza Ballroom in Melbourne, giving you opportunities to learn and network with likeminded business owners.
After the pitches, there’ll be canapes and drinks while you network with creators, entrepreneurs, investors and other business community leaders.
While no specifics have been revealed about the startups, they have all been chosen after a highly competitive and rigorous selection procedure. Successful pitches receive $20,000 in equity-free funding, a five-month mentorship program and inner-city office spaces at Melbourne Connect.
With a focus on social impact, chosen startups all share a goal to improve the world around them. MAP has partnered with Melbourne Climate Crisis to continue to provide the 11th spot to a start-up dedicated to helping solve the climate crisis.
In previous years, successful startups have spanned industries including retail, health technology and social platforms. If you’re interested in hearing the most exciting startup ideas and networking with Melbourne’s entrepreneurial community, grab a ticket to the launch.
The 2023 MAP Launch is at the Plaza Ballroom, 191 Collins Street, Melbourne, from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm, May 4. More information and tickets are available here.
