Melbourne Event: Drive a Boatload of Your Workmates Along The Yarra River This Autumn

Goboat is offering discounts to workplace groups to captain their own eco-friendly picnic boats. Get your workmates together for a cruise while the sun’s still out.

At 75 per cent capacity, offices are feeling pretty normal again. It’s still been a while since a team bonding exercise was on the cards, but the crew at Goboat are offering discounted cruises until mid-April to make it easier.

Goboat lets you captain your own eight-person vessel on a cruise down the Yarra River, and you don’t need a boat licence. You can BYO drinks and snacks, but alcohol is limited to one bottle of wine between two people, or two tinnies per person. Whoever is steering the boat can’t have a blood alcohol content that exceeds 0.00 per cent.

Goboat is offering a 25 per cent discount to workplace groups until April 15. Cruises operate during day hours, so it’s a good chance to get outdoors with your work crew before daylight saving time kicks in and the days get colder.

Prices start at $129 for the first hour, with a $50 fee for every 15 minutes the boat is late back to the dock, plus a $200 security bond per boat and everyone who boards one signs a waiver.

Book with the voucher code “BACKINBUSINESS” to score 25 per cent off for your work group.
