Learn how to photograph food for social media and make your venue’s Instagram pop.
Running active, aesthetically pleasing social media pages for your venue is one of the most effective ways to get people through the door. If you can make your dishes look as good as they taste, you’re more likely to tempt hungry punters scrolling on their phones.
We’ve all seen that person standing on their chair at brunch to get the perfect food shot – or maybe you are that person. This class, hosted by The Essential Ingredient, is designed to suit both. Bloggers, foodies and venue owners are all encouraged to attend this informal workshop that takes you through the fundamentals of food styling and photography.
On the night you’ll learn about composition, lighting, food styling, which apps and angles will help you get the perfect shot, and much more. All you’ll need is your smartphone. Best of all, once you’re done taking photos of the food provided, you get to eat it.
Tickets and more information are available here.
Food Styling and Photography is on Wednesday October 23 at The Essential Ingredient, 146 Foveaux Street, Surry Hills, from 6pm to 9pm.
