How It Works: Worksmith’s Hospitality Industry Membership Program

It’s designed to save operators money, help them connect and gain valuable industry knowledge through talks and networking opportunities.

Hospitality co-working space Worksmith launched in Melbourne in 2018 with the goal of providing hospitality owners, operators and employees with a space to collaborate. The industry can often feel isolating, and the concept allowing people to come together and work on collaborative projects has stuck since its inception.

Now, the Worksmith team has launched an industry membership program for hospitality. The program is designed to take Worksmith’s offering to another level where members can benefit financially and gain otherwise inaccessible industry knowledge. It also launched with the events of the last two years in mind, in order to help venue operators bounce back.

Members get access to discounts from suppliers such as Australian Liquor Marketers, Stella Coffee, PFD Food Services, Chef’s Hat, Home Grown and Hungry Hungry. There’s also exclusive industry talks covering a wide range of topics, a members-only jobs board and access to an online social media community with other members.

Members can also access the Worksmith building on Collingwood’s Smith Street. The space includes a fully equipped commercial kitchen, in-house bar, lounge and event space.

Membership is open to any Australian venue and there’s already a bunch of noteworthy names on board. Supernormal, Marion, Meatsmith, Builder’s Arms, Bar Liberty, Capitano, Falco Bakery, Hotel Jesus and The Moon have all signed up, just to name few.

Membership starts at $80 per month for small venues with less than 10 employees, and progressively increases up to $148 per month for venues with more than 60 employees. Venues receive the first three months membership for free.

You can learn more and sign up at Worksmith’s website.
