Bar Heather is looking for a Restaurant Manager to lead our team at one of Byron Bay's most recognised and awarded restaurants.
Bar Heather is a relatively new restaurant in Byron Bay, having opened in November 2022 and quickly risen in recognition, having been awarded both Best New Regional Restaurant (Good Food) and Best New Talent (Gourmet Traveller).
Lead by Chef Ollie Wong-Hee, Bar Heather champions seasonal produce by working directly with local farmers to deliver a quasi Euro-inspired menu that shows our love for simple yet techinical cooking in a warm and inviting atmosphere.The Bar Heather team is a close-knit and friendly one and will benefit someone who is passionate, collaborative and enjoys working in a team.
The role available is a Full Time one and covers a flexible work roster of 4 nights service and 1 day admin with reasonable finishing hours. Responsibilities include:
- Rostering, hiring and managing the FOH team.
- Planning the nights service, team briefing and day to day restaurant management.
- Running service throughout each night, serving customers and ensuring each guest receives an experience to Bar Heather's standards.
- Managing bookings as needed.
- Coordinating events, special requests and functions.
- Ordering dry goods and managing tradespeople as needed.
The right candidate needs to possess the following qualities:
- Three years restaurant experience minimum in a high level restaurant setting.
- Fundamental wine knowledge, preferably a familiarity with natural wines.
- Long term aspirations to live and work in Byron Bay. Working Holiday Visa's and Sponsorships will not be considered.
