Painter

The goal is to deliver high-quality paintingwork. Responsibilities • Apply paint to surfaces including canvas, walls, fl oors, doors, and cabinets. • Mix, match, and apply paint, varnish, acrylic, enamel, and other fi nishes. • Scrape, sandpaper, prime, or seal surfaces prior to painting. • Clean walls to ensure proper adherence. • Cover surfaces with cloth or plastic to ensure protection. • Calculate amounts of required materials and estimate costs. • Fill cracks, holes, and joints with caulk, putty, plaster, or other fi llers, using caulkingguns or putty knives. • Remove fi xtures such as pictures, doorknobs, lamps, and electric switch covers priorto painting • Apply several coats according to paint directions. • Tape off areas when needed. • Apply touch ups or second coats. • Remove paint splatters when fi nished. • Clean up all equipment, including brushes and spray guns. • Utilize spray guns for large jobs. • Work on ladders to reach high ceilings or walls. Requirements • Hands on 2+ years experience within the painting trades industry. • Looking for qualifi ed painter to work in the painting trades industry. • Remuneration based on skills and experience. • Excellent knowledge of painting material and how to select, mix and apply them • Solid knowledge of construction painting techniques • Aptitude in using appropriate tools (brushes, caulking guns etc.) • Manual dexterity with excellent balance to work on platforms, ladders etc. • Conscientious with great attention to detail • Painter must have Certifi cate III in Painting & Decorating including 2 years of work experience in this field
