Social Enterprise Cafe Manager

About the role 

• Your responsibilities will include: 
• Work 8am-4pm across 5 days, Monday-Friday. 
• Lead by example and manage your team of baristas, ensuring everyone is meeting your high standards.
• Facilitate the work experience for STREAT’s young trainees, supported by our dedicated youth programs team who are always on hand to support you and your team. 
• Ensure health and safety requirements are met. 
• Ensure the day-to-day operations of the cafe run smoothly, whilst always striving for exceptional customer service.  
• Maintain a pristine space, and take pride in the fine details.

About you 

We’d love for you to have: 

• A genuine passion for hospitality. 
• Excellent leadership and motivational skills. 
• Outstanding all round knowledge of Melbourne’s food and coffee culture. 
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role. 
• Experience in specialty coffee, and the ability to make a great cup is essential.

About our team 

We’re a team of over 90 staff – mainly baristas and chefs – but also youth workers, social workers and a bunch of admin and support staff. Our team has four key traits: We dream big about changing the world, we’re creative in how we try and solve problems, we all roll up our sleeves and get stuff done - and we have fun doing it!
