About Maison Bâtard:
Maison Bâtard is a celebration of modern French culture which has been imagined uniquely for Melbourne in a nod to the city’s golden era of hospitality.

Careful and meticulous restoration has transformed the landmark heritage site at 23 Bourke Street into a four-level haven of immersive, French-accented dining and celebratory experiences; including a showpiece restaurant spanning the lower two floors, a late-night supper club in the basement and an elegant rooftop terrace.

About the Opportunity:
We are looking for the best Sommeliers in the industry. Work with the most talented wine team in Australia and join a team dedicated to excellence. Headed by Loic Avril and Yuki Hirose MS. Full-time and casual opportunities available.

The Ideal Candidate Must Have:
  • Sommelier experience
  • Extensive knowledge of wine, new and old world
  • Previous experience in delivering wine training is advantageous
  • Experience with stock control and inventory management
  • Must be up to date with industry trends
  • Exceptional service skills and guest focus
  • Highly adaptable and able to perform in high-pressure service periods
  • Proven ability in building effective relationships
  • Organisational and time management skills
  • Exceptional communication and presentation
  • Availability to work a rotating roster including opening and closing shifts, weekends and public holidays
  • WSET or CMS certification advantageous
  • A valid RSA certificate
