Assistant Head Barista & Coffee Ambassador

At Rosso, coffee isn’t just a drink—it’s a craft, a culture, and a calling. We’re searching for a true coffee professional to help  lead the way behind the bar and in front, someone who lives and breathes specialty coffee and knows how to share that passion with team members and guests alike.

What we’re looking for:
An experienced assistant Head Barista who’s confident in their skills and excited to contribute to Rosso’s ongoing reputation for quality and innovation. You’ll be an ambassador for our brand—dialling in shots, roasting with precision, hosting our popular cuppings, mentoring junior baristas, and elevating the experience for every customer who walks through our doors.

You should have:

• Proven experience as a senior or head barista in a specialty coffee environment
• Strong sensory and cupping skills—able to articulate flavour and quality clearly 
• A confident, engaging presence and ability to communicate coffee knowledge with enthusiasm
• Comfort training baristas and leading by example on bar
• A genuine love for the craft—from green bean to perfect pour

Bonus if you also:

• Have experience running public cuppings or events
• Understand profile development and QC processes
• Bring fresh ideas to elevate both our coffee program and customer journey
• Q-grader or Sommelier expereince
