  • Work 7.30am - 3.15pm, Monday-Thursday. 7:30am - 1:15pm Friday. No Weekends!

About the role 

  • Your responsibilities will include: 
  • Work 7.30am - 3.15pm across Monday-Thursday & 7:30am - 1:15 pm on Fridays
  • Lead by example and manage your team of Barista & FOH Attendants.
  • Facilitate the workplace training experience for STREAT’s young trainees, supported by our dedicated youth programs team who are always on hand to support you and your team. 
  • Ensure health and safety requirements are met. 
  • Ensure the day-to-day operations of the cafe run smoothly, whilst always striving for exceptional customer service.  
  • Maintain a pristine space, and take pride in the fine details. 
  • Foster an energetic and positive environemnt at all times. 

Unique aspects of the role:

  • You will manage the relationship between HESTA and STREAT, being the face of our organisation
  • Not open to the public, but a high paced enviroment with much more customer connection
  • Appearance and presentation is a key factor in this role.
  • You will work with our Paid to Work employees, who have completed our Fast Track to Work program, to help further develop their skills and grow their employability.
  • Sweeping panoramic views of Melbourne!

About you 

We’d love for you to have: 

  • A genuine passion for hospitality.
  • Excellent leadership and motivational skills.
  • A track record of managing COGs and Labour targets.
  • Outstanding all round knowledge of Melbourne’s food and coffee culture. 
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role. 
  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a Barista in specialty coffee is essential.

About our team 

We’re a team of over 100+ staff – mainly Baristas and Chefs – but also Youth Workers, Social Workers and a bunch of admin and support staff. Our team has four key traits: We dream big about changing the world, we’re creative in how we try and solve problems, we all roll up our sleeves and get stuff done - and we have fun doing it!
