We're offering an experienced Venue Manager the unique opportunity to manage and lead one of Melbourne's most iconic venues - Melb Supper Club
The Melbourne Supper Club which includes Kafeneion restaurant is looking for a Venue Manager who has a genuine passion for food and wine and loves offering exceptional customer service.
Open for dinner and late-night supper from Monday to Saturday we are looking for someone who has a desire to run one of Melbourne’s most iconic hospitality venues.
Ideally candidates will have 2-3 years’ proven experience as a venue manager in a one-hat restaurant and hold a WSET 2 or 3 certification. (preferred but not essential) We are looking for someone who wants to make a long-term commitment to developing their career and available to work at least two late nights a week.
This is a Hands-on role that is responsible for the day to day running of Kafeneion restaurant and the Melbourne Supper Club that includes:
Opening and closing the venue
Monitor on-line bookings and TILL Reconciliation
Developing close relationships with both our guests and colleagues
Supervise staff and manage their performance
Ensure the smooth running of the service, supporting the floor and kitchen staff and maintain our polished but unpretentious style of service
Brief staff pre-service on new food & beverage items & list changes
Manage FOH rostering and staff training
Work closely with our head sommelier to ensure the wine list is stocked, balanced and interesting
