Venue Lead - Blacksmith Albury

We're looking for someone to lead our Albury venue - a cafe-meets-bar with a strong local following, inside Harris Farm Markets.
A venue built around consistency, regulars, good food, good coffee, and a team that enjoys working together.
This isn’t late-night hospitality. We trade from 7am–8pm, with the day built around morning coffee, panini and pizza lunches, after-work drinks, and a casual dinner and takeaway service.
We’re after someone who genuinely enjoys hospitality - someone who likes building teams, keeping standards high, creating good energy on the floor, and making regulars feel at home.
You’ll lead the day-to-day operations of the venue with the support of the Founder & Managing Director and a strong existing team.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for:
- Leading and developing the team across daily service
- Creating a strong, positive culture on the floor
- Managing stock, ordering, and supplier relationships
- Rostering and labour management
- Hiring and onboarding new team members
- Maintaining venue standards and smooth daily operations
- Delivering consistent service across coffee, food, and drinks
- Helping drive venue performance while keeping hospitality at the centre of what we do
About You
You’re someone who:
- Has hospitality leadership experience
- Can run a busy service without bringing stress into the room
- Leads from the front, with kindness & integrity
- Is organised, reliable, and commercially aware
- Knows how to build a team people actually want to be part of
- Understands both café and casual dining service
- Loves creating a venue locals return to regularly
