Buffet is looking for a Casual Junior Content Creative to help in developing content for clients and the Buffet brand.
As Buffet's Junior Content Creative, you'll support our Content and Production teams in developing engaging content across social media, website and EDM for both our clients and our own brand. We're looking for someone with an innate understanding of what makes content connect with an audience, and the skills to create it.
Your key focus areas will be content creation across a range of client accounts. You'll be ideating, shooting and editing lo-fi content for Instagram and Tiktok, copywriting for captions and EDMs, performing light design work and supporting our production team on-set. You're a proactive creative who is not only full of ideas, but has the organisation and articulation to execute them to an exceptional standard.
You'll work across multiple client workstreams, getting hands-on experience with a close-knit team that genuinely lives and breathes food, hospitality and making great work.
This role suits someone early in their creative content career who is hungry to learn and passionate about hospitality, lifestyle and digital storytelling.
This role is offered as a casual position, three days a week, with the opportunity to become permanent after a six-month review.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Capture and edit high-quality short-form lo-fi video content on iPhone, with a focus on TikTok and Reels
- Develop and produce social media content including graphics, captions and video in line with client strategy, tone of voice and platform best practices
- Support the content team with social media planning, scheduling and creative ideation
- Contribute copywriting across social posts and EDMs
- Create and adapt basic graphic assets using Canva and/or Adobe tools
- Assist ahead of shoot days preparing shoot briefs and creative and on shoot days as a support creative, helping with logistics, capture and on-set production
- Stay across TikTok trends, platform updates and emerging content formats, bringing proactive ideas to the team
- Collaborate closely with the Content, Design and Production teams across pre-production, on-set and post
Required Experience
- Confident shooting and editing on iPhone, with knowledge of native editing tools including Reels, TikTok and CapCut (or similar)
- Solid copywriting ability, clean, engaging and adaptable to different brand voices
- Basic graphic design skills in Canva; exposure to Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
- Highly organised with the ability to manage your own workload, meet deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Genuine, up-to-date familiarity with Instagram and TikTok, across trends and formats
Desirable Experience
- Some experience in a social media, content or creative role (agency, in-house, freelance or creator)
- A keen eye for food, drink and hospitality content, and a strong visual aesthetic sensibility
- Proactive collaborator who can develop ideas and see them through to execution
