Up your photography game and learn the basics of using an SLR camera.
iPhone cameras have come a long way. We’re capable of capturing stunning, high-quality shots, and Apple even runs this annual contest showcasing the best photos captured on its phones.
But photography purists still prefer the craft involved in shooting with a camera, and for professional-grade photography you can’t beat an SLR. If you’re looking to start a career in photography or pursue it as a hobby, this half-day course teaches young people (ages 16 to 24) the basics.
Bring your own camera, or use one of the provided cameras. You’ll learn about exposure, composition, depth of field, lighting, macro and more. You’ll also get to print five of your favourite shots from the day to take home.

SLR Camera Photography Workshop is on Saturday February 22 at Manly Library, Level 2, 1 Market Place, Manly, from 1.30pm to 5pm.
