Head Chef

How will you spend your time:

• Prepare and cook high-quality dishes, including appetizers, entrees, and desserts, in line with our pub's standards and menu offerings
• Ensure food preparation and presentation are of the highest quality, adhering to health and safety guidelines
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to maintain a smooth workflow during busy hours and ensure timely delivery of dishes
• Assist in menu development, bringing fresh ideas and contributing to the creation of innovative and seasonal dishes
• Manage inventory and ensure proper stock rotation to maintain freshness and minimize wastage
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, following sanitation regulations and ensuring adherence to cleanliness standards
• Supervise kitchen staff including sous chef, cooks and kitchen hands
• Schedule kitchen staff shifts and organise work rosters
• Train and mentor kitchen staff to improve skills and maintain high standards

About you:

• Proven experience as a Head Chef in a fast-paced restaurant or pub setting
• A passion for creating and delivering exceptional culinary experiences
• Strong knowledge of proper food handling and sanitation standards
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage time effectively
• A team player with excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues
• Excellent leadership and management skills
