Location: Melbourne, City Fringe

Employment Type: Full-time (38 hours per week, Tuesday to Saturday)

As we continue to grow, we are looking for a dedicated and passionate Front of House Floor Manager to join our team and help us deliver the best service to our guests.

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Front of House Floor Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations on the floor and manage some functions. The ideal candidate will have a few years of experience in a similar role and possess excellent people skills. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that all guests have an exceptional dining experience from the moment they walk in. This includes setting up for daily bookings, providing outstanding customer service, and upselling menu items. Additionally, you will be responsible for some administrative tasks, supporting the team on the floor, and handling marketing activities to engage with customers and ensure timely communication.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up the venue for daily bookings, ensuring all special menu items and dietary requirements are accounted for.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service, making every guest feel special and valued.
  • Upsell menu items and beverages to enhance the guest experience and increase sales.
  • Perform administrative tasks, including managing bookings, coordinating staff schedules, and handling guest enquiries.
  • Work closely with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure seamless service and communication.
  • Lead and motivate the front-of-house team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Handle customer complaints and feedback in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and organisation throughout the venue.
  • Assist with planning and managing functions and events.
  • Execute marketing activities, including reaching out to customers and ensuring timely communication about events and promotions.

Requirements:

  • A few years of experience in a front-of-house management role.
  • Exceptional people skills with the ability to make guests feel special.
  • Strong upselling skills and a passion for food and beverages.
  • Excellent organisational and administrative abilities.
  • Ability to work full-time (38 hours per week), Tuesday to Saturday.
  • A team player with a positive attitude and the ability to lead by example.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required.
  • Experience in marketing and customer engagement is a plus.
