Figlia is a casual Pizzeria with a focus on sour dough fermented pizza, chargrilled snacks, cocktails and wine from across globe. We are on the hunt for an energetic Assistant Restaurant Manager to help lead our team.

Figlia is a casual Pizzeria which is focused on sour dough fermented pizza, chargrilled snacks, cocktails and wine from across globe. We also offer a Wine Bar / Wine Shop / Delicatessen service next door in our sister venue - Grana Foramaggio Vino

We pride ourselves on delivering an exceptional dining experience where great food meets friendly, knowledgable service. Our menu features a range of classic Italian flavours with a modern flare. Our wine list is concise, considered and sharply priced. We have an organic and natural leaning list but pride ourselves on having something for everyone and we always make ourselves available to help our guests navigate their options. 

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager who wants to grow & develop with us and our group. Someone with a deep passion for wine, an understanding of food and wine pairings, service and management. As the Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing daily restaurant operations, ensuring immpecable service and supporting our staff in delivering an unforgettable dining experience. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Assist in managing daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth and effient service
  • Supervise, train and motivate restaurant staff whilst fostering a positive and productive work environment
  • Oversee wine service, from menu recommendations to managing the wine list
  • Maintain inventory control and collaborate with the team to stock wine and uphold quality control 
  • Handle customer inquiries, feedback and concerns, ensuring maximum guest satisfaction 
  • Assist with scheduling, rostering and other managerial duties

Figlia is open 7 days per week for dinner and weekend lunches.

The role will require you to have:

  • At least 1 years experience in a busy restaurant
  • A can-do attitude, enthusiasm & an eagerness to learn
  • Attention to detail & desire to offer exceptional hospitality
  • Great communication skills & an ability to work as part of a team
  • Drive, initiative & a passion for food & drink 
  • Wine knowledge, though ongoing traiinng provided in house and external.
  • Must have a current RSA
