Kafeneion has attracted the attention of the Melbourne dinning scene and together with The Melbourne Supper Club are looking for a positive & motivated Restaurant Manager to lead the team.
Open for dinner and late night supper from Monday to Saturday we are looking for someone who has strong food & wine knowledge and a desire to run one of Melbournes most iconic hospitality venues .
Ideally candidates will have 2-3 years experience in a one-hat restaurant and hold a WSET 2 or 3 certification or CMS certified level (preferred but not essential) and be someone who wants to make a long-term commitment to developing their career.
This is a Hands-on role that is responsible for the day to day running of the restaurant that includes:
- Opening and closing the venue
- Monitor on-line bookings and TILL Reconciliation
- Developing close relationships with both our guests and colleagues
- Supervise staff and manage their performance
- Ensure the smooth running of the service, supporting the floor and kitchen staff and maintain our polished but unpretentious style of service
- Brief staff pre-service on new food & beverage items & list changes
- Manage FOH rostering and staff training
- Work closely with our head sommelier to ensure the wine list is stocked, balanced and interesting
