We are seeking a culinary mind with flair, inspired by French cuisine and driven by creativity, ready to make classic dishes or creative ones in an intimate setting. Knowledge of cheese is a bonus too as we want to expand our menu but our great cheese selection is staying!
V Wine Salon, a boutique French-inspired wine bar in the heart of Melbourne’s CBD, is seeking a creative and detail-oriented chef with a background in French cuisine to elevate our culinary offering.
This position is perfect for someone who values precision, simplicity, and seasonality.
As we wish to expand you'll be responsible of making French classics (One starter and one main per week) Wednesday, Thursday and Friday to give another exciting offering to our customers!
Of course you will also be plating our signature tartes flambées, cheese boards, and seasonal small plates that complement our curated international wine list. Working closely with our floor team, you’ll ensure seamless service and uphold the highest standards of hygiene, presentation, and efficiency.
We're looking for someone who’s passionate about quality ingredients, curious about cheese and wine, and eager to help develop a refined yet approachable menu. More importantly someone that wants to evolve in a great company and aspire to potentially open his on place one day and learn from this experience.
The role includes hands-on prep, stock management and maintaining a clean, organised kitchen. As mentioned we are a supportive, collaborative team with plenty of room to grow creatively.
