We're looking for an experienced Sous Chef to join our passionate team and work alongside Head Chef Damon McIvor at The Local Drop - a premium yet welcoming wine bar in the heart of Collingwood. We focus on exceptional produce, thoughtful cooking, and relaxed but outstanding service, paired with one of Melbourne's most exciting wine lists.
You’ll work closely with our Head Chef to:
Help lead daily kitchen operations and mentor junior team members
Maintain high standards of food quality, consistency, and presentation
Collaborate on seasonal menu changes and wine pairings
Ensure smooth service in a fast-paced but supportive environment
Uphold excellent kitchen hygiene, stock control, and cost management practices
You’re a natural leader with a love for food, wine, and hospitality. You bring:
Previous experience as a Sous Chef or strong CDP ready for the next step
A passion for local and seasonal ingredients
