Sommelier

We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic individual to join our team at Tonka and to contribute and grow our carefully curated beverage selection. Our award-winning list is considered and matched to our venue’s culinary offerings. It is built on the foundation of a local and international selection of wines, beers, aperitifs and spirits.

We are seeking a passionate hospitality professional who will inspire and guide both customers and staff.

What we're looking for

• Proven experience with a minimum of 2 years in a similar role
• An understanding of POS stocktake systems (Impos) would be favourable, but not critical
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a natural ability to connect with guests and staff
• A proactive attitiude and desire to grow with a professional team
• Strong section waiter skills
• A love for great food and wine
