Capitano is looking for an Restaurant Supervisor to join our management team.
Capitano is a fast-paced environment, with a focus on good produce and Italian-ish food. We work with small farms and local suppliers. We are a long-standing, neighbourhood restaurant with a hard working and friendly team.
The role
As Restaurant Supervisor, you will:
• Lead and supervise restaurant services
• Help coordinate the FOH team throughout the shift
• Set the standard for warm, professional and efficient service
• Support the training and development of junior staff
• Work closely with the kitchen and management team during service
• Help manage reservations, guest requests and larger bookings
• Maintain presentation, cleanliness and service standards
• Assist with opening and closing procedures
• Help resolve guest issues calmly and professionally
• Develop your knowledge of our food, wine and beverage offering
• Step up and take responsibility for the floor when required
About you
We’d love to hear from you if you:
• Have solid experience working in quality restaurants
• Have previous supervisory experience, or are a strong senior waiter ready to take the next step
• Are confident running a busy restaurant floor
• Communicate clearly and enjoy leading people
• Have a genuine interest in food, wine and hospitality
• Can remain organised and composed during a busy service
• Understand that great service can be professional without being formal
• Enjoy working as part of a close-knit team
• Take pride in the small details that make a restaurant feel good
• Wine knowledge is an advantage, but a willingness to learn is just as important.
