CHAM is a modern Vietnamese-inspired cafe and eatery in West Melbourne, opposite Queen Victoria Market. Recently awarded Cafe of the Year by the Good Food Guide, we're an independently owned venue focused on thoughtful cooking, quality ingredients and genuine hospitality. Our menu celebrates Vietnamese flavours and traditions through contemporary techniques and a creative approach. The Role We're looking for an experienced chef to join our small kitchen team for 24-30 hours per week, with the opportunity to grow into a full-time role. You'll be responsible for: - Preparing and executing dishes to a consistently high standard - Running your section confidently during service - Maintaining excellent kitchen organisation and food safety standards - Working closely with the owners and kitchen team - Contributing to specials and menu development - Supporting future dinner service plans About You - Experience in quality restaurants or ambitious hospitality venues - Confident working independently during busy services - Strong attention to detail, organisation and consistency - Passionate about food, with a willingness to learn and contribute - Reliable, adaptable and a great team player Experience with Vietnamese cuisine is a bonus but not essential.
