With a dedication to serving authentic Italian cuisine and providing an exceptional dining experience, we are known for our delicious lasagnes and other Italian specialties. Our team is passionate about creating memorable moments for our guests and upholding the highest standards of culinary excellence. We are currently seeking an experienced and talented Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team.

As a Sous Chef at 1800 Lasagne, you will work closely with our Head Chef to oversee and manage all aspects of food preparation, quality control, and kitchen operations. You will have the opportunity to showcase your creativity and contribute to menu planning, while ensuring that our dishes are executed to perfection. This is a key leadership role where you will mentor and support junior staff, maintain a positive work environment, and uphold our commitment to delivering a high level of customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head Chef in menu planning and development of new dishes
  • Oversee food preparation, ensuring high quality and consistency
  • Manage and train junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen - Monitor inventory and ensure proper storage and rotation of ingredients
  • Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as front-of-house staff, to ensure smooth operations and seamless guest experiences
  • Contribute innovative ideas to continually improve our menu offerings and overall dining experience

Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Extensive knowledge of Italian cuisine and techniques
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Food safety certification is preferred
