Seeking a Kitchen Porter to join our team.
Lunch and dinner Wednesday and Thursday.
Kitchen cooking seasonal, unpretentious, and unfussy food.
Somewhere to enjoy the fading evening light with a glass of wine and salty snack. Opening mid-May.
The job to be filled runs Wednesday to Thursday 9am - 11pm.
This could be a full day shift. Or it could be a split shift of lunch and dinner service, for example 9am-4pm, 4pm-11pm.
Kitchen Porter responsible for:
- Washing of dishes and cutlery during service;
- Washing of pots, pans and utensils;
- Taking care of waste: organic food waste, recyclables and general rubbish. Emptying, replenishing and cleaning the bins. Washing down the external bin store. Taking the bins to the street;
- Cleaning and sanitising of Pot Wash and Kitchen. Including sinks, walls, floors and mats;
- Food prep jobs to assist the kitchen. For example washing vegetables, peeling roasted peppers, picking herbs from the garden. With scope to grow in this role depending on interest and ability.
