HEAD CHEF WANTED

As the Head Chef, you will oversee all aspects of our kitchen operations, from menu development to staff management, ensuring that every dish meets our high standards of excellence working together with our Executive Chef.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Menu Development: Create innovative and seasonal menus that reflect current culinary trends and meet the diverse needs of our clients in collaboration with our Creative Director.
  • Kitchen Management: Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency, cleanliness, and adherence to health and safety regulations.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, train, and mentor the culinary team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Quality Control: Maintain the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and taste, conducting regular tastings and evaluations.
  • Cost Management: Monitor food costs and inventory levels, implementing cost-effective measures without compromising quality.
  • Supplier Relations: Build and maintain relationships with suppliers to source the best ingredients, negotiate prices, and ensure timely deliveries.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Head Chef or Sous Chef in a high-volume catering or high end restaurant.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent professional training.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Exceptional creativity and culinary expertise.
  • Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of food safety standards.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays to accommodate event schedules.
