Key responsibilities

  • Creating and crafting a variety of chocolate confections, such as bonbons and pralines.
  • Developing new recipes and flavour combinations to innovate and expand the chocolate product line.
  • Tempering chocolate to achieve the desired texture and appearance for different types of confections.
  • Molding, shaping, and decorating chocolates by hand to create visually appealing and unique designs.
  • Monitoring and maintaining the quality of ingredients, ensuring freshness and consistency in the final products.
  • Adhering to food safety and hygiene standards to ensure the safety and quality of the chocolates.
  • Keeping up-to-date with industry trends and techniques to continuously improve skills and knowledge in chocolate-making.

About you

  • Extensive knowledge of chocolate-making techniques, including tempering, molding, enrobing, and decorating.
  • An ability to manage other chocolatiers including production runs.
  • Strong understanding of flavour profiles and the ability to create unique and innovative chocolate recipes.
  • Experience working with premium chocolate and other high-quality ingredients.
  • Attention to detail and precision in crafting chocolates to ensure consistent quality.
  • Ability to work efficiently while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Creativity and artistic flair in designing visually appealing chocolate creations.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet production demands and deadlines.
  • Prior experience in a professional chocolate-making setting or culinary background is preferred.
  • Prefer someone interested in working two to three days a week.
