WANTED! Head Barista for busy Binary cafe CBD Mon-Fri

Binary is a bustling sleek and stylish café, nestled on the ground floor of the iconic 101 Collins tower in the CBD. Operated by Code Black Coffee, this venue pumps out specialty coffee and delivers a diverse and interesting cabinet and a-la-carte menu.

We are looking for a vibrant, energetic, experienced, and friendly Head Barista who is not only passionate about delivering outstanding coffee, but also loves engaging with people and is keen to lead a fun and bubbly team in a beautiful CBD café.

We’re looking for someone who is serious about delivering the highest standard of cup in the fastest time possible with the biggest smile you can muster, someone who appreciates professionalism, teamwork, and who LOVES contributing to a fast-paced and thriving work environment.

To be considered for a Head Barista position you will have the following:

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a full time Barista in high-volume specialty coffee
• A strong work ethic with the ability to multi-task, prioritise and delegate
• Be able to demonstrate an exceptional working knowledge of coffee making techniques
• Have an incredible passion for coffee and the desire to share this with others
• Have a high level of professionalism and the ability to lead and teach others with respect
• Be confident, cheerful, well-presented and friendly
• Able to maintain extremely high standards under pressure
• Preferably a minimum of 1 year previous supervisory/management experience
• Be able to work well in a team and communicate politely and effectively in English

Hours: Monday - Friday (approx 38 hours per week)

Requirements: this is a VERY BUSY CAFE with two coffee machines- you will need at least 2 years' experience in a high-volume role
