Salary: $73,150 – $75,000 per year
Employment Type: Full-time, under The Publican.Co Enterprise Agreement 2023/2024

We’re on the hunt for a passionate and skilled Chef to join the kitchen team at The Sporting Club in Brunswick. This is a great opportunity to be part of a dynamic venue that values creativity, consistency, and collaboration in the kitchen.

To be successful, you will have:

• A Diploma-level qualification in Commercial Cookery (minimum Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery) 
  and/or at least two years of relevant experience
• A strong work ethic and positive attitude in a fast-paced kitchen
• Solid understanding of kitchen operations, food safety, and hygiene standards
• Confidence in preparing a variety of pub-style dishes with consistency and care
• Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
• A genuine interest in contributing to a welcoming and well-run venue

Roles and responsibilities include:

• Preparing and presenting high-quality dishes in line with the venue’s food standards
• Managing section prep and service during busy periods
• Supporting the Head Chef and Sous Chef with daily kitchen operations
• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment, following food safety standards
• Assisting with stock control, ordering, and minimising waste
