Bar manager

Suze is a busy neighbourhood wine bar tucked away on a quiet inner street of Fitzroy North. We’re lucky to be frequented by a beautiful local community, and we run the venue with warmth, simplicity, and heart. 

Our team is small but solid, cohesive, and fully committed. Everyone shares their passion for the industry and brings it into every shift. Everyone is proud to be working at Suze.

We’re now looking for a Bar Manager to take charge of the bar and keep things running smoothly. 

The role is relatively approachable for an experienced candidate, since our drinks list is focused on wines and vermouths, with a small number of classics cocktails - but it still calls for precision, consistency and a strong sense of service.

What We’re Looking For

• A genuine love and interest in hospitality
• Knowledge and skills on all things related to food, wine, spirits and guests’ experience
• Previous experience in running a fast-paced bar 
• Reliability and punctuality in organisational skills: bar prep, stock control, and ordering
• Switched on attitude: speedy, prompt, precise and tidy 
• Willingness and ability to step gradually into a leadership role
• Mature and calm approach to human relationships and management
