Sous Chef – Roles & Responsibilities
• Lead and manage the kitchen team in the absence of the Head Chef.
• Maintain high standards of food quality, service, and presentation.
• Assist with menu and dish development.
• Train and mentor new staff while sharing food and cooking knowledge.
• Manage ordering, stock control, and stocktaking.
• Monitor labour during service to ensure efficient staffing levels.
• Maintain strict hygiene, food safety, and kitchen cleanliness standards.
• Contribute to a positive, welcoming environment for staff and guests.
• Show a willingness to learn, grow, and develop in the role.
• Available to work Sundays as required.
