Front of House Manager / Senior Barista – Rye & Dough Bakery (St Kilda)
Rye & Dough is an artisan sourdough bakery located on Fitzroy Street in St Kilda. We are looking for an experienced Front of House Manager / Senior Barista to lead our front-of-house team and maintain the high standard of service our customers expect.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hospitality, takes pride in customer experience, and can confidently run the floor during busy service.
Key Responsibilities
• Managing the daily front-of-house operations
• Leading and supervising FOH staff
• Delivering friendly and professional customer service
• Preparing high-quality coffee consistently
• Handling POS transactions and cash management
• Ensuring the shop floor remains clean, organised and welcoming
• Coordinating with the kitchen and bakery team during service
• Assisting with ordering, stock control and rostering when needed
Requirements
• Previous experience in a supervisor or manager FOH role
• Strong barista skills (dialling in, milk texturing, consistency)
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Reliability and attention to detail
• Availability for early mornings and weekends
