Senior Barista - Glenmore Road

This is a key role within the team. Alongside the Manager, you will uphold our coffee standards, and help translate our roasting into a consistently exceptional cup. You’ll be an ambassador for Mecca Coffee; representing not only our brand, but the producers we work with. You understand that great coffee requires both precision and hospitality. You care about the details. You care about people. And you bring a sense of energy and fun to the floor.

What you’ll be responsible for

• Dialling in and maintaining coffee quality across service
• Preparing espresso and milk-based beverages to a high standard
• Managing workflow, efficiency, and cleanliness of the bar
• Training and supporting baristas on recipes, technique, and service
• Communicating coffee knowledge clearly to the wider FOH team
• Monitoring stock levels and liaising with Roasting & Despatch teams
• Ensuring consistency across all drinks and customer interactions

What we’re looking for

• 2–5 years experience in high-volume specialty coffee environments
• Strong technical skills across espresso and milk
• A genuine interest in coffee, flavour, and origin
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail
• Confident communicator who enjoys engaging with customers
• A natural leader who supports and uplifts the team
• Calm under pressure with a strong sense of workflow
• Someone who takes pride in their work and doesn’t take themselves too seriously
