About the role:

 The Park Hotel is a busy gastropub in Abbottsford, Victoria. The Park Hotel consists of a quintessentially Melbourne Front Bar, a cosy Dining Room & Beer Garden.

 You’ll be working closely with the head chef and kitchen team to perform the following tasks:

• examining foodstuffs to ensure quality
• regulating temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment
• preparing and cooking food
• seasoning food during cooking
• portioning food, placing it on plates, and adding gravies, sauces and garnishes
• storing food in temperature-controlled facilities
• preparing food to meet special dietary requirements
• plan menus and estimate food requirements
• train other kitchen staff and apprentices

About you:

You’ll be an experienced cook with at least 2 years’ experience working as a cook ideally in a high-end Bistro/Pub food environment.

The ideal candidate will possess:

- Minimum Certificate III commercial cookery or higher

- Food handling certificate

Estimate Salary range from $73,000 - $78,000 plus superannuation depending on experience
