We are currently looking for an experienced chef to join our incredible team at our brand new, yet to open site in Richmond. This cafe will be open weekdays, providing a fantastic experience to the local community, as well as helping facilitate tailored hospitality work experience to the trainees in STREAT's programs.
STREAT is a Melbourne based social enterprise and has operated its hospitality businesses to fund and support work experience for marginalised youth since 2010.We are currently looking for an experienced chef to join our incredible team at our latest cafe in Richmond. This café will be open weekdays, providing a fantastic customer experience for the local community, as well as tailored hospitality skills for our trainees.
You will be working independently, so you must be competent, with a calm demeanour and a can-do attitude. Use your kitchen know-how to train, inspire and motivate at-risk young people;
As a STREAT café, there will be access to food produced at our other sites, including ingredients from our own bakery and production kitchen.
Responsibilities include; the ability to manage busy service solo, minimising food wastage, accurate portion control, stock control and ordering, kitchen cleanliness and accurate food safety recording.
Hours of work will be Monday to Friday from 6am.

You must have the unrestricted right to work in Australia. You will require a current Working with Children Check.
