About the Opportunity:
We're seeking a passionate Senior Sous & Sous Chef to lead and inspire our kitchen team, while ensuring smooth daily operations. You’ll provide hands-on leadership, guide culinary innovation, and foster a positive, high-performing work environment. Main Role Responsibilities:
  • Oversee food production & presentation, ensuring high quality and consistency of dishes
  • Assist in all sections of the kitchen when required during service
  • Assist Head Chef with management of the kitchen profit and loss
  • Assist Head Chef with crew rosters & ensure crew timesheets are reviewed and approved appropriately
  • Ensure kitchen is ready & set up for service
  • Supervise and guide BOH team during shift, ensuring quality and consistent output
  • Responsible for stock control within the kitchen
  • Recruit, mentor, train & develop crew members
Experience, Skills & Attributes:
  • Experience as a Senior Sous Chef or Sous Chef looking to take the next step in an a la carte restaurant
  • Exposure to high energy/ fast-paced work environment
  • Asian cuisine knowledge and experience is advantageous
  • Effective leadership skills with focus on staff development
  • Experience in rostering, ordering and basic financials
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills with proven ability to build effective relationships
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Adaptable to change
  • Solution focused
  • Possess initiative
  • Must be able to work a rotating roster including weekends and public holidays.
