About the Opportunity:
As Head of Facilities & Maintenance, you’ll oversee equipment, repairs, and maintenance across LUCAS Restaurants, ensuring seamless operations and top-tier venue presentation. Leading a team and managing contractors, you’ll develop cost-effective strategies, drive sustainability, and ensure compliance. While primarily strategic, hands-on maintenance will be required.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate all maintenance work by staff, contractors, and subcontractors.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the facilities team.
- Ensure LUCAS Restaurants maintain high presentation and operational standards.
- Manage facility services, cleaning contracts, and participate in operational reviews.
- Oversee operations, compliance, and implement sustainability initiatives.
- Ensure completion of preventative maintenance programs and reporting.
- Identify and implement efficiency improvements in maintenance and operations.
- Manage projects and other ad hoc duties as required.
The Ideal Candidate will have:
- Maintenance management experience in a restaurant or hotel environment highly regarded
- Exemplary leadership
- Knowledge and experience in many aspects of repair and maintenance work
- Understanding of OHS responsibilities and practices
- Excellent communication and time management
- Impeccable attention to detail
- Relevant trade qualifications advantageous
- Must possess a current Victorian driver’s license
