The Role:
As a Chef de Partie, you will be an integral part of our kitchen team, managing a section and working closely with our Head Chef and Sous Chef to prepare high-quality dishes and ensure a smooth, efficient service.
Key Responsibilities:
• Run and manage a kitchen section, ensuring all dishes are prepared to Tonka’s
high standards.
• Execute precise and consistent prep and presentation, from mise en place to
plating.
• Collaborate with the team to develop new menu items and contribute creative
ideas.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization within your section and adhere to food
safety regulations.
• Train and mentor junior chefs, helping them to develop their skills.
• Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff to ensure a seamless dining
experience.
• Assist in other sections as needed to support the team and maintain efficient
kitchen operations.
We’re looking for someone who has:
• previous experience as a CDP or strong experience as a Commis Chef ready to
step up
• knowledge of modern cuisine techniques
• experience with a variety of cooking methods
• strong organizational and communication skills
• the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
• a proactive, reliable and punctual approach to individual and teamwork
• passion for food and a desire to contribute to Tonka’s evolving menu
• a willingness to take on extra shifts if required
• the flexibility and adaptability to move between sections when needed
• the capacity to handle constructive feedback and continuously improve skills.
