You will be a versatile hospitality professional with several years’ experience across various roles in different areas of service and styles of establishments.
You will have experience managing or supervising small teams, or you are a gun of barista with a great work ethic wanting to take the next step in their career.

The Job:
We established our venue just under 2 years ago and are now looking for the right person to be part of our senior team as we expand and elevate our business.
The role is responsible for producing consistently good beverages in a timely fashion and working alongside the Restaurant Manager in leading a small, dedicated team to deliver exceptional experiences for our guests.
The role involves working across different areas of the floor, including assisting with some food prep & table service.
We are a small independent business with a dedicated focus on establishing and maintaining a happy work environment and great culture. We value our team and encourage a healthy work/life balance.
Competitive remuneration which will be negotiated dependant on experience.
Knowledge of Dutch cuisine and Belgian beer is advantageous.
The Place:
Situated on busy Sydney Road in Brunswick, Mokum is the only dedicated Dutch Café, Bar & Restaurant in Victoria.
Mokum is a sentimental nickname given to the city of Amsterdam and has come to mean ‘safe place’ with the city of Amsterdam widely considered a place where differences are celebrated, and people have been welcomed from all over the world. The culinary scene in Amsterdam also reflects this diversity.
Our Mokum aims to be a ‘safe place’ where people from all walks of life are welcomed warmly and made to feel at home, and our menu celebrates traditional Dutch flavours alongside the flavours and dishes from the Surinamese, Indonesian, Antillean, Turkish and Moroccan communities calling Amsterdam home today.
We focus on quality ingredients and make almost everything in-house. This includes roasting our own coffee and making our own cakes and treats. We also pride ourselves on our extensive range of Dutch and Belgian beers, along with an extensive list of local and imported wines and cocktails designed using liqueurs made in-house from spices and flavours commonly used in Dutch desserts.
Our venue seats around 60 guests at any one time with an additional bar area for up-to 10 more guests. We also have a dedicated function space upstairs which can accommodate a further 30-40 guests.
