Angel Music Bar is seeking a hands-on Venue Manager to lead day-to-day operations across service, staff, and events. This role is responsible for overseeing bar performance, maintaining high standards in customer experience and product quality, and ensuring smooth execution of weekly programming and special events.

As Venue Manager at Angel Music Bar, you will be responsible for the overall operation of the venue, ensuring exceptional service standards, strong team leadership, and seamless delivery of events. Key Responsibilities
Staff Leadership & Training
Lead, train, and support bar and floor staff to deliver consistent, high-quality service. Provide ongoing coaching, oversee shift performance, and foster a positive and accountable team culture.
Customer Experience
Set the standard for exceptional customer service, ensuring all guests have a memorable experience. Confidently resolve issues and support staff in managing high-volume service periods with professionalism and efficiency.
Bar Operations & Quality Control
Maintain high standards across all beverage service, ensuring drinks are prepared consistently and in line with venue expectations. Oversee stock handling, storage, and compliance with health and safety standards.
Inventory & Stock Management
Monitor stock levels, manage ordering processes, and maintain accurate inventory records. Conduct regular stocktakes and ensure efficient stock rotation to minimise waste.
Cash Handling & Financial Oversight
Oversee daily cash handling procedures including opening and closing tills, reconciling sales, and ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance.
Compliance & Safety
Ensure full compliance with licensing laws, RSA requirements, and venue safety protocols. Lead pre-shift briefings to keep staff aligned on operational and compliance priorities.
Shift & Service Management
Manage staff rostering and floor operations to ensure efficient service during peak periods, events, and busy trading nights. Maintain a strong presence on the floor and lead from the front.
Communication & Team Coordination
Maintain clear and consistent communication across all departments, including management, security, and event staff. Keep the team informed on upcoming events, promotions, and operational updates.
Private Bookings & Enquiries
Oversee the handling of venue enquiries and bookings, ensuring a streamlined process and high conversion rate for private events and group bookings.
Event Coordination & Programming Support
Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate event logistics, ensuring all staff are well briefed and events run smoothly.
Calendar & Planning Management
Maintain and manage the venue’s monthly event calendar, ensuring accuracy and alignment across all teams.
Procurement & Event Readiness
Manage ordering and preparation of event-specific requirements, ensuring all materials and resources are in place ahead of time.
Marketing & Communications Support
Coordinate digital marketing efforts for events, working with external creatives and contractors to ensure consistent branding and effective promotion.
