The Role
We’re looking for a reliable and skilled Casual / Part-Time Chef to support our kitchen operations. This role is primarily focused on daytime preparation, with occasional service shifts where you’ll take the lead or support during service.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out all in-house food preparation during the day, ensuring consistency and quality
- Assist with menu prep, including mise en place, portioning, and basic cooking tasks
- Maintain a clean, organised, and food-safe kitchen environment
- Support stock rotation, storage, and inventory management
- Step into service shifts as required, assisting with or running service smoothly
- Work collaboratively with front-of-house to ensure a seamless guest experience
About You
- Previous experience in a commercial kitchen (chef or cook level)
- Strong prep skills and good attention to detail
- Ability to work independently during prep shifts
- Comfortable working occasional service shifts in a fast-paced environment
- Solid understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
- Reliable, punctual, and a team player
