Chef – Full-Time Permanent Position (2 Positions Available)

Salary: AUD $76,515 – $80,000 plus superannuation, commensurate with skills and experience.

Join the team at the Alpine Hotel in Warburton, Yarra Valley. We are seeking two experienced Chefs to work in our fast-paced, high-volume kitchen using quality seasonal produce. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive regional hospitality venue offering stable full-time employment.

About the Role

Reporting to the Head Chef and senior kitchen team, responsibilities include:

• Preparing and presenting high-quality dishes to venue standards
  • Managing a designated kitchen section during busy lunch and dinner services
  • Working efficiently in a high-volume commercial kitchen environment
  • Assisting with stock rotation, daily preparation, and minimising food wastage
  • Maintaining food safety, cleanliness, and sanitation standards
  • Working collaboratively with the kitchen team to deliver efficient service and guest satisfaction

About You

To be considered for this role, you will demonstrate:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Chef in a professional high-volume hospitality environment
  • Experience working with modern Australian cuisine and seasonal produce
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure during peak service periods
  • Strong understanding of kitchen operations, food safety, and stock control
  • Relevant Commercial Cookery qualification (Certificate III or IV) or equivalent industry experience
  • Ability to work a rotating 7-day roster including evenings, weekends, split shifts, and public holidays
  • Previous experience in a busy pub, hotel, or regional hospitality venue highly regarded
