We are looking for a Managing Director to lead and grow our Melbourne business -- someone who will own the full P&L, build a high-performing team, and drive Natoora's mission deeper into the Australian market.

ABOUT NATOORA

Natoora started 20 years ago with a very simple, yet powerful goal to find incredible flavour in fresh produce. Today, our dedication to this mission has grown into an impactful network of over 500 independent growers spanning nine sourcing hubs across three continents.

We work with hundreds of kitchens and some of the most exciting and influential chefs in London, New York, Miami, Copenhagen, Paris, and Melbourne. However, our commitment to creating a better food system also extends beyond professional kitchens to a strong community of home consumers across the US and the UK.

On the way, we have been named a Sunday Times Fast Track 100 Company, appeared on the Financial Times’ list of Europe’s fastest-growing companies, and proudly received a GQ Food & Drinks Sustainability Award.

MANAGING DIRECTOR, MELBOURNE

We are looking for a Managing Director to lead and grow our Melbourne business -- someone who will own the full P&L, build a high-performing team, and drive Natoora's mission deeper into the Australian market.

You'll represent everything we stand for: a relentless commitment to extraordinary produce, independent growers and a food system worth believing in. Australia is one of our key strategic priorities -- this is a pivotal role with real scope to shape what we build here.

Reporting to the CCO, you will have full strategic and operational ownership of the Melbourne business. That means leading our team of 25, developing our supply chain, improving how we operate, and pushing customer growth well beyond our current 300 accounts. You'll build relationships with the people who matter most in the industry, forge meaningful partnerships, and keep a close eye on the financial health of the business as we scale.

This role is for someone who leads from the front. Someone who is equally comfortable in a strategic conversation and on the warehouse floor. If you're energised by the complexity of a fast-growing business and want your work to genuinely change the way people eat, read on.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Set and deliver the strategic direction of the Melbourne business, working closely with the CCO and central teams
  • Own the full P&L -- drive revenue growth, manage costs and build a sustainable, profitable business model
  • Lead, develop and inspire a team of 25, creating a strong culture and a high-performance environment
  • Oversee the continuous development of our supply chain, in partnership with the Sourcing and Operations teams
  • Improve operational processes and systems to support scale
  • Drive new customer growth and deepen relationships with existing accounts across the hospitality and retail sectors
  • Build and maintain relationships with key industry leaders and develop strategic partnerships
  • Be an ambassador for Natoora's mission and values in everything you do

ABOUT YOU

Essential

  • Proven experience leading and growing a business or substantial business unit of similar scale
  • Full P&L ownership experience with strong commercial and financial acumen
  • Exceptional people leadership skills -- you develop talent, build teams and know how to get the best from people
  • Superb communication skills, with the ability to inspire internally and represent Natoora externally
  • Strategically minded but hands-on -- you're comfortable working at altitude and getting into the detail when it matters
  • Proactive, calm under pressure and driven to solve problems
  • Deep knowledge of and passion for the Melbourne and broader Australian food and hospitality landscape

Preferred

  • Experience structuring and scaling an organisation through growth phases
  • A track record of building supply chain or operational capability from the ground up
  • Existing relationships within the Melbourne or broader Australian hospitality, retail or food industry
  • Experience working within or alongside a mission-led, founder-led business

THE ESSENTIALS

  • Natoora produce at a significant discount
  • A competitive salary and performance incentives
  • Excellent opportunities to develop and grow with the business
  • Centrally located office and warehouse space in Melbourne, accessible by public transport
  • The chance to play a leading role in one of the most exciting food businesses in the world
