Alimentari Smith Street - Restaurant Manager

Alimentari Smith Street is looking for an experienced Restaurant Manager to join our team.

We’re a busy Smith Street institution, known for great food, quality produce, warm service and a lively atmosphere. We’re looking for someone who genuinely loves hospitality, enjoys being around people and knows how to bring out the best in a team.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who is confident running a busy service, takes pride in the details and enjoys creating a great experience for both guests and staff.

THE ROLE

You’ll be at the heart of the day-to-day operation, working closely with our owners, kitchen and front-of-house team to keep things running smoothly.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Leading, motivating and developing the FOH team
• Running busy breakfast and lunch services
• Maintaining high standards of service and presentation
• Managing rosters, staffing and labour costs
• Recruiting, training and mentoring team members
• Working closely with the kitchen and owners
• Managing customer feedback and ensuring guests leave happy
• Overseeing POS, reservations and daily operational requirements
• Ensuring food safety, liquor licensing and workplace safety standards are met

ABOUT YOU

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has previous Restaurant Manager or senior hospitality management experience
• Is a natural leader who leads from the front
• Is organised, energetic and confident under pressure
• Genuinely cares about great food and great service
• Enjoys building a strong, positive team culture
• Has excellent communication and people skills
• Is comfortable with POS and reservation systems
• Is available to work weekends and public holidays
