Flo - Sous Chef

Key Responsibilities: 

• Assist the Head Chef in overseeing all kitchen operations 
• Lead and mentor junior kitchen staff to ensure high standards of food preparation * Maintain and uphold food safety and hygiene regulations 
• Collaborate in menu development with a focus on seasonal ingredients and local produce 
• Ensure consistent presentation and quality of all dishes 
• Manage inventory, stock control, and kitchen supplies 
• Supervise catering functions and ensure timely delivery of events 

Required Skills & Experience: 

• Proven experience as a Sous Chef, with at least 5 years in a similar role * Strong leadership and communication skills 
• Expertise in menu planning and execution 
• Thorough knowledge of kitchen equipment and operations 
• Familiarity with Australian food safety standards and regulations 
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment 
• Creative problem-solving and team collaboration skills 
• Diploma in Hospitality Management 

Working Hours: 

Please note that this position requires flexibility in working hours. Early morning shift starts at 5:00 AM. Night shifts, and weekend availability are essential due to the nature of our catering services and event schedules.
